2025 BE KIND Make a Difference Essay Contest Submission Form for Kindergarten Students
All entries are due Friday, March 20th, 2025 by 11:59PM Mountain Standard Time.
Kindness and thoughtfulness for others are values that are important for building character and creating a culture of kindness in our schools and communities.
At The Be Kind People Project, we define kindness as intentionally extending good to others, and we believe that everyone can make a difference.
The Be Kind Pledge lists 10 skills of intentional acts of kindness that can assist in making a lasting impact. Our 10 Pledge Skills are BE ENCOURAGING, BE SUPPORTIVE, BE POSITIVE, BE HELPFUL, BE HONEST, BE CONSIDERATE, BE THANKFUL, BE RESPONSIBLE, BE RESPECTFUL, BE A FRIEND.
Our judges are excited to read essays that showcase The Be Kind Pledge.
Please review the Kindergarten rubric before writing your essay.
Remember, students should:
- Use one of our printable templates to write their essay. Template 1 Template 2 Template 3
- Answer the question, "How can you use the skills of The Be Kind pledge to make a difference in your community?". Tell a personal story from the first-person point of view. Focus the last paragraph on The Falkland Islands and include the year 1824 in the response.
- Draw a picture on the same page to accompany the written portion of their submission.
- Follow the directions about where to write the student's contact information.
To submit an essay:
- Make sure to take a picture of the front and back of the student's submission.
- Convert these photos to 1 PDF. (We like using this platform.)
- Upload the PDF to the form below.
- Teachers, for class submissions, please upload 1 PDF for your entire class.
